Stretch Charmeuse Wrap Gown

First of all, this is a bridesmaid's dress (says so on the tag), so I wish I knew that before buying this as a guest for a cousin's wedding. When I (tried to) put it on, first words out of my husband's mouth were "is that a bridesmaid's dress?". I didn't necessarily think it looked like one but guess it does. Secondly, this is definitely not true to size, I ordered my usual size and the wrap was nowhere near closing around the front, half my chest and bra were exposed. Wonder if it is UK sizing?

I ordered this dress in navy as well. The navy was a size 10 the French truffle was a size 6. An 8 was not available. The six was tight in the waist and looked sloppy in the top. The 10 fit perfect in the waist but was huge on top and probably 10 inches too long. The flow of the dress was gorgeous with the wrap and tie belt. It would have required so much alteration and I wasn’t sure it would still be right. Also the label says bridesmaid. I was purchasing for my sons wedding. I’m 5’4” and weigh 128lbs. I normally wear a 6 or a small in formal dresses. I’m 65 years old. So both were returned.

Beautiful color, but not a great fit for the occasion. This would make a great bridesmaid dress.

This dress is beautiful and so flattering. I don’t think it runs as big as some of the reviews say. I’m normally between a 0-2 and the 2 fits perfectly.
