Jenn Loafer - Multiple Widths Available (Women)

Finding the right fit in shoes is an ongoing struggle because I wear a wide shoe. These shoes were a happy find. They are true to size, very substantially constructed, and stylish enough to wear with tights and a skirt or slacks. The padded soles are very comfortable for walking. This is a good selection, especially for the price.

I ordered these shoes online in a 10 wide which fits me probably 90% of the time. The other 10% I wear either a 9.5 or 10 medium depending on the shoe. Anyway, I got these Jenn loafers about a week after ordering. They appear to be well made & pretty good looking in person too. However, I could barely get them on my right foot they were so snug both length & width. I do have a high instep which causes me to wear a wider width when I get shoes like this, but in this shoe I would have needed a 10.5 extra wide in order to have a chance at them fitting me. Nordie's return policy can't be beat so I took them back to a brick & mortar store no problem. I ended up buying 4 pairs of shoes while I was there! The shoes I replaced these loafers with we're 2 pairs of 10 medium and 2 pairs 9.5 medium.

I bought these shoes to wear with jeans and to have some walk-ability with them. I need padding in the bottom of my shoes. I feel the Trotter brand rises to the occasion. Their padding in the metatarsal area of foot is very nice. My foot is a medium width, but in Trotter's I order a 8W. The fit was very nice and so comfortable. The sole looked thin from the outside view, but the stability and padding was there. I have walked a full day at the mall and several grocery shopping "adventures," my feet were comfortable. A certain staple to and shoe closet!
