Colleague Loafer (Women)

I bought a couple pair of loafers and it came down to these fitting the best, as well as looking the best. The others had those thicker more rugged soles and made my foot look like I had on a pair of my dad's shoes. While I do like that look occasionally, these are definitely more practical and they are also a tad more elegant? I guess is a better word than feminine because they do have that "little school boy" look which I happen to gravitate to. These are very cool and leather is beautiful..

I wanted a loafer that was some shade of cognac and not too trendy. I planned to wear them with grey and beige and cream slacks. I went with these over a pair from Madewell, and I’m so glad I did. The two-tone option (cognac with ivory) always ties together neutrals and adds a pop of intrigue to a more subdued palette! These are also very comfy and feel high-quality. I’m a true 9, took my usual size, and the fit is perfect (though a bit snug across the top when I wear very thick socks.) These are very smart and will stand the test of time. Extremely happy with this purchase.

I so wanted these loafers to work. When I opened the box I could smell fumes much like spray paint (not the normal “new” shoe smell) came out. The finish on the leather looks cheap and much more shiny than the picture. Sadly, the shoes look and smell like they are made out of “pleather” not leather. The fit is small. I normally wear a 7 and the 7.5 is barely big enough. They look and smell more like $19 shoes than $149.95 shoes and will be going back.
