As many fashionistas are already familar with J brand, I am writing this review for first-time buyers - like myself. Other jean brands I own are Rich & Skinny (boyfriend and skinny cuts) and before that Joe's Jeans (bootcut). I typically wear size 28. So, experimenting with trying J brand jeans - after hearing all the "buzz"- the following are my observations: 1. Sizing absolutely varies with jean material, i.e. in the velvet leggings, size up. 2. Sizing sufficiently varies even within a specific style/material, so try on several in the same size before making a decision. 3. RE: low-rise denim leggings: unless the fit is perfect, they tend to slip downward and you will find yourself pulling them up (usually by the belt loops) - a returnable issue. Be prepared to "work them" on. 4. RE: starless wash: great, as I love deep indigo jeans. 5. RE: silhouette with heels: very sexy (not a fan of leggings with flats, and any legging can function to be tucked inside of boots). Conclusion, I purchased the denim leggings (starless), and the very gorgeous black velvet leggings.

Too short and small

I love Joe jeans but I was a little disappointed with these... a little too short and too small compared to the other styles of Joe jeans I own. Cute if you don't have long legs :)

Awesome fit with right size

I'm very petite (5'2, 97 lbs) and ordered both size 23 and 24 for comparision but decided on size 23 finally. 24 fits alright at the waist, hip and upper thigh but was quite loose from the knees downwards. I like my skinny jeans to hug very snug all the way, which size 23 does perfectly although it takes a bit more effort to put it up the hip. The final effect is worth the effort though and very slimming. Once up, it is actually also very comfortable. The best part is that it doesn't stretch out at all even after 2 full days' of wear. Highly recommended but you might need to try 2 sizes before you know which one will fit the best.

AMAZING

I love J Brand and I always buy my jeggings a little snug since they stretch over time. I am 5-foot-4, 125 and I always buy a 27. They fit perfectly. They are great for going out at night, wearing to the office AND running around town. If they go on sale, I will buy another pair immediately!

great lightweight jean

Perfect jeans for fl and summer weather. I own them in every color and so does my daughter. They have been washed a zillion times and still look great. They are a must for every women's wardrobe who lives in a warm climate. Soft and comfortable, but not huge stretchy like the avedon COH. True to size.

I am 5'7", 132 and purchased size 28. they are just a little loose in the waist, but as i am a little pear shaped, they work best this way. They are incredibly comfortable and not as thick as some other JBrand skinnies that i have. I've been loyal to Hudson Jeans for a few years now, but i may be making the switch permanently to JBrand. just so comfortable.

Fit like a glove!!!

I'm usually a 24 in stretch and a 25 in 100% cotton and these fit perfectly (I'm 5'3, 105 lbs). The color is pretty true to the picture and the fading is more vibrant and pretty in person. I love leggings because they are so comfortable and these are true to their name. The rise is a little bit below the belly button which is fine for me because I hate when jeans are too low and people end up seeing too much! I would get more pairs if they came in different colors and styles. The sale price doesn't hurt either!
