'Livi' Faux Suede Over the Knee Boot

After being on the hunt for black over the knee boots, I ordered these. They came early (yay, Nordstrom!) However, I was disappointed. There is a very large and gaudy gold zipper on the back that the pictures do not show. Also, the fabric sags immedietly. The sleek over the knee look is diminished the moment they are put on.

Ordered these in black. I'm usually a size 8 & followed instructions from some previous reviews, and ordered size 8.5. I wear them with wool socks so the fit is great, they also fill out the ankle area that way. They're a little roomy if I wear them with thin cotton socks. I think the size 8 would have been a little too tight. I've only worn them over pants / jeans so far, I think they'd be a bit loose over bare legs. I'm 5'10, slim but athletic / muscular, so these were a great fit around the calf area. They're just tight enough to give a nice look. Since I'm tall, they hit just at my knee cap. The fabric is pretty thin & not real suede, but I think that's what contributes to the tighter appearance. If you buy these boots, it should be because you want a tall tight look! I love them, and get loads of compliments :)

I have searched for these types of boots on other websites and other brands. I'm 5'3" and these hit just the perfect portion above the knee (I don't want them to be RIGHT above the knee, but a few inches above). I did not have to break them in, and unlike other over-the-knee boots, I do not have to keep pulling them up from falling (EVER). The man totally approves and says these boots are freakin' sexy. And you can wear these with jeans/leggings or with a dress/skirt so the shoe is versatile. YES!

Bought these in black and was pleasantly surprised. I also found these to be tts. Pros: the black micro suede doesn't look totally obviously cheap like I thought it might, they're tall enough to be otk on me (5'3"), look good with a variety of outfits, and stay up pretty well. Cons: could use a padded insert (they aren't the most comfortable) but that's an easy fix; also, I don't love the gold zipper but it serves it's purpose and I can get past it. Lastly, I don't think they'd be a good otk option for anyone taller than 5'4".

I read the reviews before purchasing and was a little hesitant but I'm so happy I got them. My calf measurement is 13 inches and where the top of the boot shaft hits around my lower thigh and right above the knee, my thigh measures at 16 inches. I'm about 5'7, wear a size 27-28, 34-26-39. With that in mind, the boot does not fall at all. It zips easily. I tried them bare (with thin socks) and they fit perfectly and I tried them over my Seven for all mankind Kimmie crop jeans and they still were able to zip easily and look great. I suppose since my legs are a bit thicker the boots don't fall down, so if your measurements are around mine, these boots will likely be perfect. I normally wear an 8 or 8.5 and I got the 8.5. I have maybe a half of an inch between my toe and the toe of the shoe. So it gives me enough room for the occasions I am wearing the boots for a long time or for a thicker sock. It does not feel "cheap" it certainly looks and feels well made and so soft. I also love that there's a heel and its not completely flat. It makes the boot perfect for transitioning from "casual" to a "night out" look. The only thing I need now is to buy a suede protector. Otherwise, this boot is perfect!

I purchased these boots in a size 8 (I normally wear 8 1/2) they fit great and are very comfortable. The gold zipper up the back does a pretty good job of holding up the boot, not sure how it would work with tights alone but with jeans it's stayed up well. I have a pair of Stewart Weitzman (Lowland- prailen) and I would say for the money this is a great compromise. I don't wear black boots alot but I find myself wearing these more since I think they look great.
