Imara Velvet Midi Dress

This dress is so incredibly flattering. I took a chance because these kind of formal dresses are hit or miss when you order online. I have a wedding in October and wasn’t planning to buy “yet”, but this dress stood out. I like the velvet fabric, midi length and rushing. It also has a built in corset type bra!! I’m 5’6 160 lbs and 36D. I ordered a 10, in case it had a smaller fit like most formal wear. This dress fits like a glove. From length to coverage to hold. Perfect amount of stretch while sucking in the right places. I have a “mom pouch” and the coverage on this is perfection!! I wish I could buy this in a softer, summery fabric for my June wedding, because I wouldn’t hesitate!

I normally wear a 4/6 and I first purchased the size 4 and I couldn’t get it to zip up at the chest. It’s so well made and even has a built in bra so i had to order the size 6. This has to fit as the 4 almost did right? Well it didn’t. The sizing of the chest was basically the same fit as the size 4. In fact it didn’t look or feel any different when I tried them both on. Too bad as it’s a really pretty dress and looks lovely on. For reference I’m 5’4”, 34D and 133#. So if you have a smaller chest this dress is stunning.
