Imara Ruched Sleeveless Minidress

This is an attractive, unfussy dress that has a small amount of ruching on both sides of the waist, I assume just to create some interest as it doesn't really hide anything. Normally I wouldn't buy a sleeveless dress (yes I've reached that stage) but the little extended, almost cap sleeve helps and the dress works well with a blazer, shrug or even a jeans jacket to dress it down. Looking at the model one might think this is way too short for anybody over the age of 39 but I have found at 5'4" these dresses that look like a mini on the incredibly tall young model are often knee length or just above on me. And, with black pantyhose you can get away with a shorter skirt, or at least that's what I'm telling myself. I did have to size up from 8 to 10 in this piece due to tightness in the bust area.
