Knocked It Out of the Park
I purchased this dress for a recent wedding & couldn't have been more pleased. Full disclosure -- I am no fan of navy. Never cared for it & have always thought if you're gonna wear a dark color, you might as well go black. Well, lesson learned! The hanger does not do this dress justice & I think with my hair color, it just popped. The neckline is stunning & I did not have to wear shapewear. It was very comfortable & dancing wasn't a problem. I'm 5'3", 130 lbs, 34 DD & the only size my local Nordstrom had was an 8. Forget the size on the label! I'm usually a size 2-4 in dresses based on style & have realized every designer sizing is different. If they'd had a size 6, I probably would have fit into that a tad better but it wasn't baggy in the top/under arm area. The dress does have built-in bra cups which came in handy as I ended up having to go commando because my strapless bra showed. I did have to get it hemmed, but that's par for the course given my height. I received so many compliments all evening even from the young gals! I paired it with some simple rhinestone earrings, silver strappy sandals & a cutie-as-a-button silver/gray clutch from Versona (much cheaper than other places). Highly recommend this lovely dress & cannot wait to wear it again!
