Ida Leather Top Handle Bag

Bag arrived in a shallow small box. I could tell immediately the bag was squashed into the box. Opened to find one side of the bag completely bent and flattened (including strap). Tried to reshape it from the inside to match undamaged side, but no go. Seemed like it was squished down for a long time. The good: bag is compact, but roomy inside to store wallet, keys, phone and more. Color is lovely. The bad: Choice of materials and/or construction could be improved. Leather either needs to be stiffer to retain shape, or softer so it can bend without becoming misshapen. I feel the product photo is better than it looks IRL. Finally, Nordstrom should know how to ship an $895 handbag. Maybe use a slightly bigger box and add some padding? Not worth the money.
