Easy to clean. Drip-free chugs of water on walks.
I didn’t think that I would like this lead so much. I have now used it on several three day long walking events and all of the training leading up to them. What I like most about them is being able to take a big chug of water without it pouring all over my face while I am in the middle of walking. This lid is easy to clean. I take it apart and throw it in the dishwasher. One tip: if you take it on an airplane, which I often do, make sure that you keep the bottle upright and open the lid while the plane is climbing towards altitude. If you don’t, it might spray a bit when you open it up the lid the first time. This is true for straw caps too.

Replacement
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This was sent to me as a replacement for another new lid that leaked. This one leaks in the same way, from a seam.

Replacement lid
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This one is much better. The lid that came with the bottle was so tight that I could barely twisted apart to clean it. Thank you.

A major upgrade!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This lid is a major improvement over the previous Flip Cap and a huge upgrade for older bottles. Unlike the old cap, this lid has no parts that rely fully on friction to stay closed, just twist it and that’s it. Cleaning it is super easy once you get the procedure of taking it apart and reassembling it down. My only criticism is that this lid needs some kind of tactile grip around the outer edge where you put your hand to twist it open/closed because it can be slippery sometimes.

Not as good
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I recently received this as a replacement of the original cap from when I purchased the tumbler a few years ago. Apparently they no longer make the original cap. I hate the replacement. The handle is pretty lame and gets in the way. The sipping experience is like sucking on a huge block of plastic. You have to perform surgery to clean it.
I've been a Hydroflask user since it started in Oregon many years ago. This was the first time I actually have something. So I threw the entire thing away and purchased a Zojirushi GoCafe. A much better drinking experience. So there you have it. You want honest reviews? That's as honest as I can be.
