Now I get all the VSCO girl hype!
NOTE: this is version 2 of the Hydro Flask 40oz - the difference being it *is* dishwasher safe, there is no lip like the first version & it’s one of the newer colors that came out - which is Fog.
I had a few Nordy points that were sitting in my account for a bit & I’ve been wanting a Hydro Flask for quite some time & finally decided to get one. It’s so super cute! My husband was initially laughing - I mean who gets excited about a water bottle? I guess I do because I get it! I now am drinking about 3-4 full bottles a day (I have the 40 oz). The fog is a pretty gorgeous gray/violet. The new version of the bottle feels light & yet so wonderfully sturdy in my hands. I put various stickers on it. It keeps ice cold for about 24-48 hours & even if the ice melts the water is super cold.
Is it worth it? It depends on what you are looking for. The 40oz is pretty big (lightweight when it’s not filled), it fits in my Kanken tote/backpack. I now since I’ve purchased this drink a minimum of a gallon of water a day & it’s super easy with this. So in my case, absolutely yes. Hydro Flask has a ton of accessories- so I also got a bright pink boot (what you see in my photos) & I ordered several of the accessories directly from Hydro Flask since Nordstrom does not currently sell them.
Bottom line is - for me, whatever it takes to drink water & stay hydrated. It’s portable, keeps beverages super cold, & cute to look at. So for me the $50 price tag makes it worth it.

Bottle RUSTS
I purchased this 40oz bottle in Mint to complete my collection with my custom ordered bottles and lids directly from Hydroflask. I rarely use the 40oz since it’s a bit large for my daily use. For the first time I filled it up with hot water on my trip and found RUST inside on the welding and around the top. So upsetting bcuz I spent $$$$ on this bottle and its collection to have matching lids and custom engraving. I also purchased a kids bottle just to have the matching Mint sports lid from Nordstrom. I’ve been trying to contact Hydroflask and they are always closed.

Maintains temp but impractical
I got this in Kiwi and love the color. It definitely holds alot of water and keeps it cold but I find the bottle too large. It won't fit in the cup holder in the car which means it is rolling all over the place and the as the name indicates, the mouth is extremely wide and I end up with water all over me often. Not that big a deal but at this price point, I was hoping for more.

GREAT SIZE
Got this while it was on sale for a good deal. This is the best size to get. The only thing I wish it came with was the straw lid but I ordered it separately.

Great water bottle!
This is a great water bottle and really keeps your drinks cold. The 40 ounce size is just huge and heavy, and doesn't fit in a cup holder. I swapped it for the 32 ounce.
