A staple for a closet
I have wanted the pink ones for the longest time, but I live in Arizona and didn't think I had a need for them. I went on vacation in New York in the winter and said I definately needed them. They were so comfortable. I bought a 1/2 size up and ended up returning and getting my true to size.

rubber broke after 7 months
i loved these rain boots. the looks, fit and they are truly comfortable. that's why i've been wearing them a lot. last week i realized, wading through a puddle of mud, that one boot was leaking water inside. i personally think that rubber boots at this high end price should last longer than 7 months. i read on hunter's website that the boots indeed come with a warranty, i will try to exchange them. will update.

Quality Issue
Was looking forward to the hunter boots but was disappointed by their lack of quality control. Upon arrival, I noticed an indentation (maybe it would've gone away after awhile?) around the opening of the boot. On top of that, I noticed that the 'hunter' label was placed upside down. In terms of fit, I typically wear size 7 with socks but ordered size 6- which fits me good with socks. Unfortunately, will have to return since the defect is too obvious. Thank goodness for Nordies' easy return policy!

Cheap insoles
While I do absolutely love these boots I am also pretty disappointed in the quality. After owning them for only 6 months and wearing them maybe a couple dozen times the insole has come loose and rolled up. It's very uncomfortable and I'm shocked that these are not holding up well at all. I guess that I will have to super glue them back down? If I wanted to buy a boot that would start falling apart in 6 months I would have bought something much much cheaper. Nothing compares to these boots when it comes to style but I think perhaps thats all your paying for.

Love these boots!
I have been looking at these boots for the 4 months. I was tossing up whether to buy the Originals or the Packable Tour boots.
They are not stocked in any retailers in Australia so I relied on the trusty internet - I read so many reviews + blog sites + watched YouTube on each to see which was better, how they looked when walking and for sizing (as it was all over the place!).
I ended up settling on the Originals (navy Matte), and I wear a 7.5/7, so after a bit of deliberation, I chose the 7 and crossed my fingers that they would fit well. They arrived yesterday and without a sock, my foot does slip around the ankle however the fit is just perfect with a thick sock - which is exactly how Hunter intend on the boots being worn.
Few things to wrap this up:
* I found them easy and comfortable to walk in. Not heavy at all. They are a perfect height as well.
* The calf area is spot on. I wore with them jeans tucked in, and still had a bit of room around without being too tight or swimming in space.
* If you're like me and can only purchase online - measure your feet/calves and ankle-to-knee height and compare it to the sizing charts on the Hunter UK website. It confirmed my sizing choice. (The Hunter UK has additional measurements).
* I'm so happy that I went with the Originals. I like the sturdiness feeling of the boot and that the Packable Tour boot wouldn't be right for me for that reason.
At the end of the day, if you purchase the wrong size, you can easily exchange it. I knew that when I purchased them however I wanted to eliminate the risk of needing to spend an extra $40+ in shipping from AUS.
I hope this helps you as many of the reviews below helped me!

wonderful- Love them!!!!
I was on the fence about getting these because I kept reading reviews about petite/ short women having issues wearing these boots (because of the shaft height). But I decided to get them anyways- and I am so glad I did!
I wear a size 5.5 (got a size 5) and have a high instep, so I had to put an arch support in them, but after that, they were great!
I am 5'2", and had no issue with these boots digging into the back of my knee when I walked . I have almost 2" between my kneecap and the top of the boot. They are pliable, not stiff- I can get down to my toddler without feeling awkward. I also have the kid's boot in a size 4, (which seems a little wider for me) and it is shorter, but since I'm already short, I felt that they made me look even shorter, while these tall boots made me look taller (??? could just be me- wishful thinking???), so I will definitely be wearing these more. Overall, they are comfortable, easy on/ easy off, durable... a very good purchase.
I wear them with normal socks, but still have enough room to add thick socks/ wellie socks. I will definitely be getting these in other colors now :)
