'Original Short' Wedge Rain Boot (Women)

My first Hunter purchase. Having read reviews, I opted to size down 1/2 size. Normally a 9.5, the 9 fits very well. I can wear a sock and my toes fit comfortably, no rubbing. I think this style is cute. Need a rain boot as I am moving to a more humid/rainy climate, so hopefully these will come in handy as I don't want to ruin leather/suede shoes in bad weather.

I purchased a black short wedge rain boot in 2 sizes during the anniversary sale due to the mixed reviews. I normally wear a size 7.5, but website stated to go a size up for half sizes. I was undecided on what size to purchase, so I purchased them both in size 7 & 8. Then 24 hours later, I get an email stating that the size 7 were canceled, but the 8 were still available. I received the size 8 and they were too big. I was a little upset due to the cancellation from the size 7 knowing that they would have fit. When the anniversary sale ended, I took a hunch and decided to go back online and check whether the size 7 were available. Believe it or not, they were. Upset that I had to pay full price, I did not care at the time. But when I returned the size 8, I took a hunch and decided to ask the sales person regarding my problem due to wanting the anniversary sale price. He stated that if I had proof that I had purchased the size 7 during the anniversary sale that I would be able to get the price adjustment. Sure enough, I did. I was a happy shopper again and was happy that I received my size 7 of short wedge rain boots!

I wear a size 8 in athletic shoes , and ordered a size 8 in these Hunter boots. They were quite large and the boot top is larger than the original Hunters. I have smaller calves and they looked silly on me. If I dropped to the size 7, they would still be too large around my legs. I loved the look of them in the catalog, but if you have smaller calves, you will be swimming in these Hunters. Please note these are no longer made in the UK. They are now made in China.

I purchased my true size and they fit fine. Cute boot. Only nitpick would be that my foot seems to feel like it could slide around in the boot just a bit because of the fabric used on the inside (bottom) of the boot.... feels like my foot could slide around a little inside the boot. Need to be particular about the type of socks I wear with these boots so I step with confidence.

These are my second pair of Hunter rain boots. I've had the tall boots but found them to be too hot. These are perfect! The height allows my pants to stay dry but aren't so snug and tall that my legs sweat. The wedge is so slight that you don't really feel it. And, I get so many compliments on the color!!
