'Huntress' Boot

Love the boots, annoyed with the limited color choices for us "wide calf" ladies. This is also comical that I had to get a wide calf boot. Hunter definitely needs to reevaluate their calf dimensions and take a look at a normal calf. Or, perhaps their target market is the 5'11", 105lb girl. I'm 5'2", 130lbs and a runner. According to Hunter, I have fat calves. Please make more color choices for us fat girls.

I ordered the Original Hunter version, but they were a tad too snug in the calf to wear with boot socks, so I sent them back and opted for the Huntress boots instead. I wish I would have just worn the boots without boot socks because the Huntress is not as attractive as the original. The decorative adjustable strap on the calf is a nylon fabric, NOT the same gloss rubber as the boots as the original and the buckle is matte plastic not a shiny metal. I think this makes them look very cheap. This is not remarkably visible in the pictures on the website. Even discount department store brands have better looking straps. I was so excited that they fit (albeit far clunkier and less refined than the original), I put them on and went right out to run an errand, not noticing this. I wish I had noticed this, because I would have sent them back. They're nice boots and all, but if I wanted galoshes without the fashionable flair, I would have gone a far less expensive route. Also, my boots were delivered with the cloudy rubber "bloom" over the entire boot. So what was supposed to happen over time happened before I even put them on. Now I have to buy the cleaning products. Again, I was so excited they had finally arrived, I did not notice (or maybe was blinded by my desire to have Hunter boots) these sub-par qualities. I'm really disappointed about something I really wanted to love and now I'm stuck with something that's just okay because I've worn them once. Not what I would expect from Hunter or Nordstrom.

I bought these boots because they have a wider calf, and I have a hard time getting boots that fit my calf. Unfortunately, with a wider calf they came along with a SUPER wide ankle and slid up and down on my foot. I was hoping that they would fit like a normal Hunter boot in the foot and ankle and just allow for more room in the calf. I am sending these back because they do not stay on my feet

So I have big calves... I used to own the original but after wearing it twice i had to return them because, well, my calves were starting to turn a little purple. I'm so glad hunter decided to make boots for women with wider calves cause these are SO comfortable, chic and at the same time, efficient. I recommend this to any women who have slightly larger calves and assure you that you won't regret! I have these in black but the green is super cute too!

I usually don't write reviews but I had to write one for the Huntress rain boot. First off if you have wide calves and narrow ankles (my calves are 15.5 inches) DO NOT GET THESE!!!!!!! I ignored some of the other reviews and thought that they might fit because they have a 16.5 inch circumference but they didn't. Don't even let me get started on the ankle part of these boots! They are huge at the ankles and the rubber bends in that area like crazy. Look horrible. Bottom line is if you have wider calves get the Hunter adjustable back boot (17 inch circumference). They fit perfect! They don't bend at the ankle either because it's a narrow cut. I'm 5'2 so I ended up getting the short ones...plus I really wanted them in red and the tall adjustable boots don't come in red :( hope this helps! Xoxo

I was so excited for these, but the sizing was so off! The calves were definitely not wide calf at all. They were way too snug for a rain boot and the ankles were enormous!!! I am so sad! I was so excited for my shiny red boots! They are going back.
