Not for shorties like me
I’m size 28 across most brands and this fits as expected. Slightly below my belly button but not suffocating, a bit stiff so it fit like a tailored trouser. Too bad it looks like culottes on me. Not the look I was going for. Leg opening is too wide for me but would look great on taller ppl! Nice heavyweight denim too.

This is my first pair of Hudson’s and definitely not the last. I fluctuate between 25-26 and ordered the 26 in winter. The waist is still an inch big (could’ve gotten a 25) but they’re so comfy from the hips down that I decided to keep them and just take the waist in instead!

Perfect for the petite
I ordered this in my usual size and it fit perfectly. I'm 5'2" and these look like normal jeans on me and hit around my ankle. For reference, I was looking for a style like this and had tried on the Everlane Way High jeans which did not look good on me at all: too big, too thick, too high. I wasn't expecting much considering people say this runs small but I was amazed at how perfectly this worked on my petite body. These are true high waisted jeans on me, and the most flattering ones on me out of all the high waisted jeans I own. I think if you're smaller and look for jeans in this style it's worth it to try on your regular size and next size because they're great!
