This is the one
This is the one that got me hooked for life on Hourglass brushes. In my quest to find the perfect brush to apply both cream and powder eyeliners, I purchased practically every brand of small angled liner brush on the market. Chantecaille, Clinique, Burberry, MAC, Bobbi Brown and more. This brush is a perfect blend of softness and firmness. It applies powder or cream flawlessly and is so incredibly soft and gentle on the eyelid. The quality is fantastic! This was the one and I never looked back. After purchasing a couple more Hourglass brushes, I ended up throwing out all my Dior, Laura Mercier, Chanel and Armani brushes and replaced them with Hourglass brushes.

Too thick and not firm enough
Ordered this because I like Hourglass products and because of the eleven five-star reviews. Unfortunately, this creates a thicker line than I’d like (I like to start off thin and build from there), and the point was not too precise. Maybe it’s because the brush itself is a thick one. The angle was good, and it deposits gel pigment great, just not the most precise for doing a winged line with a sharp point. I’ve been drawing winged eyeliner freehand for twenty years, so I know my technique is not the problem. I’m just used to MAC and stiffer, thinner brushes I suppose. Too bad. The brush I got on a certain popular website for ten dollars works better.

Worthy Investment Brush!
This brush is great! I’m really picky about angled liner brushes. I’ve been wearing a cat eye every day for 18 years. The right brush and liner make all the difference. This one creates such a perfect line, is easy to clean and washes well. Highly recommend and will repurchase over and over again!

Lovely brush for eyeliner and wing
Expensive but I’m loving this with pot eyeliner. Good to dab across the eyeline and ring out, or draw a line with a slightly wet brush. Not sure it’s much better than cheaper brushes but I like that it’s heavy and feels quality. Hourglass brushes do seem superior as a whole.
