No. 1 Powder Brush

I ordered this brush online, and, once I received it, the cons unfortunately outweighed the pros for me. While it's really well made, and feels great on the skin, it felt too over-sized for me. The handle is too long, the brush overall is too weighty for me, and the bristles, while soft and good quality, do not allow for much control over product pickup and placement. I should mention though, that many brushes I've tried (by Sigma, UD, and yes, Hourglass, among others) have felt too large and heavy for me. However, I've finally discovered the Trish McEvoy brushes, and I'll be sticking with those from now on. They are much more compact in size and weight, but also uncompromisingly functional and well-crafted.

I purchased my Hourglass brushes from elsewhere just over 2 years ago. I own most of the collection and I must admit that I would never want to be without this powder brush. I use this particular brush everyday, and the bristles are soft and have never shed. It is a pricey brush, but in my opinion if you can manage that then this is a must have brush to have in your collection. In addition, I use a gel like brush cleaner weekly and never lose a bristle. You, too, will adore this bush.

I only use hourglass brushes now. This was one of the first brushes I purchased by them and I now own the full set!! They are beautiful, this applies my loose setting powder effortlessly and they wash really well! The brush is big but I find that helps me apply my powder much better and actually more evenly. I have very sensitive skin but hourglass brushes are so soft and have never caused me any issues
