Kids' '24 Aston Martin Vantage GT3 Brick Shop Building Set

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Mattel Brick Shop™ Hot Wheels® '24 Aston Martin Vantage GT3 is a great toy for older kids. The building of the car was not difficult but held my 13 year old son's attention through completion. He is now proudly displaying his build in his bedroom. The Brick Shop bricks are similar to the other popular brick building toys. The colors are bright and attention grabbing.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My 10-year-old son, who loves building sets, was so excited to get this in the mail! He could not wait to start putting it together. It was the perfect screen-free activity to keep him occupied during summer break. He took everything out of the box and organized all the numbered bags before getting started. In total, it took him about 8 hours over two days to complete. The instructions were clear and easy to follow, and I didn’t hear any moments of frustration while he was building. Once it was finished, he was so proud to show it off. He especially loved discovering that the steering wheel inside actually moves the tires, which he thought was the coolest feature. The set is fun, engaging, and feels like great quality. If you have a child who loves building and cars, this would make a wonderful gift!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The second my son saw this hot wheel he knew it was a great activity to do with Grandpa. He loves hot wheel so to spend the time building one was out of this world. it took him a few hours to build. He loves that it also comes with a small car.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My son loved building the Hot Wheels '24 Aston Martin Vantage GT3. It took him about four hours to complete the complex build. He said he admired the attention to detail and was excited that it came with a small hot wheels replica. His favorite part of the set was that it was customizable and that he can change the wheels. He is proudly displaying it on his dresser. We highly recommend the Mattel Brick Shop sets!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Packaging: Packaging is quite robust. Very firm and thick box with well-protected internals. See-through display of hotwheels car and rims/tires. Hot Wheels Car: This was disappointing. Definitely felt cheap. The car itself had no detail on the floor pan or interior, and the plastic wheels and rims felt really cheap compared to older style of Hotwheels or competitors (Racing Champions, for example, has real tires on a number of their cars and all the detail). Size and timing of assembly; This was 793 pieces and it took about 3.5 hours to complete, which is comparable to a similar-sized Lego Technic I did of the 1966 Ford GT40. The proportions seem to be more accurate to an actual car. The cockpit detail was significantly higher than any Lego set I have played with. Instructions: Very similar to Lego in detail. Robust instruction book broke down over 300 steps. Brick Quality: Everything seemed to be of the correct quantity and shape, but the bricks felt a bit lighter than a lego brick of comparable size/shape. I have concerns over cycle fatigue on the pieces. Also, several proprietary pieces, while improving the esthetics of the build significantly, do kind of take some of the imagination away. Was happy the quality of packaging and inventory was well measured so there were no shortcomings. Stickers: Glad that they saved it for the end of the build. Overall rating: 8.2 out of 10. Had my doubts coming into this about a Lego knock-off, but Mattel did a nice job with this set.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Mattel brick shop hot wheel car...this is a really neat car to build. It has a nice green color, the pieces fit tight, good clear instructions and will be great on display. Really grateful for this build.
