High Performance Tinted Moisturizer

I bought this tinted moisturizer because I had heard good things about it and I had also read about Dr. Macrene Alexiades's line of products. It was a leap for me because it is not cheap. I have rarely been so happy with a product; it is exactly what I wanted it to be. While it is not called a foundation, it does give light to. medium, buildable coverage. It has a beautiful texture and looks good over sunscreen. I'm 66 and have very good skin and have never been a huge foundation wearer. But this product describes itself as skin care, so I feel like I'm getting a good foundation with skincare benefits. A little goes a long way, and you do get a lot of product in the beautiful glass bottle. I got the medium which is just right for my light to medium complexion. One of the better investments in skincare I've made.

I have found the one item I can’t live without. This is amazing - such nice coverage (on the lighter side of medium) that easily builds to hide blemishes. Does not clog my pores, and better yet - let’s my skin breathe. Adjusts to my skin tone within a minute of applying with my fingers. The price made me hesitate, but the results are SOO worth it. P.S. - 1/2 pump is all that is needed for your entire face.

I have been using this for a couple of years now. It has a beautiful finish. A little goes a long way with this as it is very pigmented. I would say it has medium to full coverage. It is buildable. The consistency is thick but it blends out beautifully and blurs imperfections. I prefer it blended out as I like sheer foundations. This does not feel like makeup. My skin feels hydrated at the end of the day. It wears nicely for 6-8 hours on my mature normal to dry skin. It does not cling to dry patches and it does not settle into fine lines after you blend it out. It sets down and does not have to be set with powder although setting it with powder helps with longevity. I love the skin care benefits. I have light/med olive skin and purchased the medium and it works great. The web site recommended Light for porcelain skin tones, Medium for fair to light tan skin tones, and Deep for tan to dark skin tones but they have since expanded the shade range. I still use Medium. Macrene Actives products are unscented which is why I did not repurchased the skin care. I am in the minority in that I like fragrance in my skincare. Probably because I use a lot of Sisley. I hope this review helps. This is a lovely foundation with skin care in it.

This is incredible, perfect coverage for the entire face and buildable for the few remaining bruises I have from a cosmetic surgery few weeks ago. It’s really more of a moisturizing foundation than a true tinted moisturizer, since the coverage is better than most tinted moisturizers. This reminds me of the Georgio Armani Designer Lift (in the jar) which was discontinued several years ago. I’ve been looking for a replacement since, and now I’ve found it!

Shade range didn’t work, I found the product to be very thick, almost like a pudding texture. Too much coverage to be called a tinted moisturizer. Not what I was expecting, or looking for. This is going to be my first return to Nordstrom. Typically I will give it away, but this was too pricy.
