After paying $320 for a Ralph Lauren winter coat, the zipper broke and my daughter now is in New York City in the middle of a northeaster with no coat to wear because I cannot replace it at this stage of the game. She needs a size small if you could help me, I would appreciate it.

Length not as photo or description
This coat has a 46" center back length, meaning it is full length on a 65" tall woman, not just below the knee. The length in the description is 38", but the coat is 8" longer than stated. The coat is snug girth wise and feels like it would be warm. Not liking the antiqued brass snaps. Satin nickel or brushed gold would be much nicer.

Loved everything but zipper!
I love this coat. As other said, it is heavy but in cold weather it felt perfect. Love that it covered my legs to the calf. But, the zipper was hard to get started and I kept not being able to unzip it. I had to have someone unzip it for me half the time I wore it. Regret that because of zipper I returned it.

Zipper is a dealbreaker :(
I would have happily kept this coat, except that "Lauren Ralph Lauren" decided to go CHEAP with the zipper!! I am SO disappointed... I delayed returning this coat, even consulted with a seamstress about replacing the zipper (but given the construction of the coat she didn't advise it). I realized that any enjoyment of this coat would end up being ruined if I had to struggle, each and every time, with the inferior zipper. Bad decision, "Lauren Ralph Lauren" -- an otherwise quality coat ends up worthless. Please do better.

wow. perfect
I bought one size up to accommodate bulky sweaters and layers. It’s perfect. The coat is soooo warm, it has a bit of shape so it looks fashionable rather than bulky. Pickets are lined with fleece, a really nice touch when not wearing gloves. The hood is well shaped, it fits over a bun, but doesn’t cover your eyes ever. This is the perfect, snuggly warm, professional looking winter coat.
