Sizing is much larger than the size chart says :(
This is a well-made coat with a removable warmth liner which includes a sleeve liners too. It is a higher-weight fabric, and the liner adds weight for sure. Not really light or compact to pack for travel. The sizing is much much larger than the size chart indicates; I got a large (supposedly a 12/14) and it fits like a 16-18 . The hood is comically large, just too much for me. If you are layering over heavy sweaters or fleeces for cold/rainy weather you'll have plenty of room. Too heavy I think for coastal SoCal weather, but probably OK for colder, higher elevations.

Raincoat review 😳
I wish the coat had slash pockets - hard to tuck hands in this style. That said the pockets are a nice size and do snap shut. An interior zip pocket would be a good addition. Generous sizing, which is great for layering.
