Durable water repellent, DWR issue

The jacket benefited me after washing it per the instructions - however the need for the washing was to rid the excess Durable water repellent, or DWR, the coating added to this jacket’s fabric at the factory to make it water-resistant ( hydrophobic). I suffered a minor rash around my eyes but it seems fine now that the jacket is laundered. As for fit and feel it’s perfect for the chilly temps and rainy winter here in the Bay Area.

Great Jacket

I’ve been searching for the waterproof jacket for 40s-50s and found it! Stylish, perfect length and as a tall person great fit. Honestly this is a better jacket than your popular brands offer and better price. Only reason I deducted one star was my concern for the durability of the insulation as after one wash numerous fibers are present. But again, if that’s not a problem I’ll give the star back. It’s a great versatile solution to the variable temperatures, wet conditions out east.

Really happy with this jacket purchase!

I bought this jacket in green for my husband to use this winter in the PNW. It somehow looked a bit more stylish (I use that lightly) than other rain jackets I looked at. He loves it! Waterproof for all of those rainy Seattle days, but also lightly insulted for warmth. He is able to wear it to for work (business casual) and for leisure. He’s worn it all winter in temps from 40° to 20° It runs slightly small, my husband is typically a M or L depending on brand, we went with the L and he has no complaints. It also was a bit less expensive than other brands I looked at.
