A playful spin on an everyday favorite, this 38mm watch channels the excitement of the Sorting Ceremony with a whimsical Sorting Hat seconds hand and an INDIGLO backlight that glows red to reveal the house crest and name.

Measurements: 38mm case; 45mm lug-to-lug; 9mm case height; 20mm band width.

Strap/closure: Brown leather strap embossed with the Sorting Hat; buckle closure.

Movement: Quartz analog; CR2016 battery.

Complications: Three-hand time.

Other features: Polished silver-tone low-lead brass case; mineral crystal; water-resistant to 30 meters; INDIGLO light-up dial.

Face: Cream dial with a scrollwork minute track, mixed markers and numerals, Sorting Hat seconds hand, and hidden Gryffindor crest revealed with the backlight above 6 o’clock.

I loved receiving this watch. The sorting hat second hand is so cute. Indiglo is such a cool feature for the houses. If you are a Harry Potter fan this is a must purchase!

It’s a nice watch, not

It’s a nice watch, not one I’ll wear very often. For the price I expected a more substantial feel to the watch. The band is a good quality but I can’t tighten it enough to fit my small wrist. I’ll probably replace the band then it’ll be missing out on the Harry Potter styling.

It’s a nice watch, not

It’s a nice watch, not one I’ll wear very often. For the price I expected a more substantial feel to the watch. The band is a good quality but I can’t tighten it enough to fit my small wrist. I’ll probably replace the band then it’ll be missing out on the Harry Potter styling.

Visually, this watch is great.

Visually, this watch is great. The Harry Potter branding, dial color, and print quality all look nice, and the Indiglo backlight works fine in the dark, even if it is on the dimmer side. The leather strap feels a little cheap, but that’s acceptable given the price. The real downside is the quality control. The hour hand is misaligned by about 20% at the top of the hour. I bought the Ravenclaw edition too, and it has the same flaw. Basically, this is just a 38mm Timex Weekender. Considering Timex is charging double the price of a standard Weekender for this limited edition, the QC should be better. It’s a fun gift for a casual fan, but may disappointing if you collect watches.

Love the watch. It's sleek

Love the watch. It's sleek and very clean looking. The indiglo Ravenclaw light could be brighter as you can't see it with minimal light showing, but then you probably don't need it if trying to tell the time, but I like to show that feature to others so it can be difficult to see. The leather band is soft and for 39mm dial you would think it would be big but the lugs and bezel are small so it gives it a classier look as well.
