Draped Wool Coat

I thought it was little too much to spend on a coat but this is the style that looks the best on me and I have gray and beige and camel colors from soai kai . I wear those over and over again and it just never gets old. Great layering piece for me . This coat is just absolutely stunning how it drapes . How dramatic the drape is . The belt is lined from inside so from behind you don’t see the belt but it peaks from the side. Length , color and construction makes my other cherished coats very basic. It has that wool smell that can be little too wintery and weird if you spray perfume on it but it’s beautiful construction which is very important for me . The fabric has slight shine to it because it’s very tight wool. The color berry is just this deep burgundy. I don’t think I can wear this coat on daily basis but it’s woaw coat you can throw on beautiful dress and look elegant and effortless

I love this coat! (I love it so much that I have it in grey and just ordered it in green!) The pressed wool is warm and cozy without being bulky. I can wear the coat all day at work if the studio is cold and it doesn’t get in my way. I love the way the neck drapes and can be styled in different ways. It’s also a good piece to layer with — if it’s really cold outside I wear it with a cashmere sweater and scarf. Probably not the coat for a *super* cold climate, but it’s amazing for winters in milder climates as well as spring/ fall wear elsewhere.

I happened to look at this coat as our salesperson was showing this to me, explaining that it is a pressed wool -- warm, but not bulky. An Italian family company, based in England. I walked past -- and on the second round, decided to try it on. It is amazing! There are three ways to wear the coat, and several ways to wear the belt. It is an unusual, chic shape, and I love the color, since black is just ordinary! The sleeves are fitted well, and there are form fitting darts that make the coat shapely, and not just a big box.

It feels like a boiled wool or wool/poly blend. Jcrew has a similar feeling wool coats. So does Uniqlo. I don’t like the color. It is a green but it isn’t army. Uniqlo’s at least got the color right. Overpriced for what it is. I had an extremely pushy sales lady push this onto me. It overwhelms my short frame. There’s too much lapel that it’s a cross between wearing an attached scarf to a wrap coat. It had to be returned.
