Harleigh Waterproof Jacket

I’ve had this coat for about a year and have worn it a few times last fall and this spring when it was not raining. I wore it to the Bears home opener yesterday in Chicago and within 10 minutes at the tailgate, I was completely soaked from head to toe. I don’t mean a little damp, I mean the coat was soaking up the water, the water was not rolling off as you would expect it to. I spent quite a bit of money on a WATERPROOF coat, by a trusted brand that I have purchased before for outerwear, but not waterproof although they were water resistant. I have no idea what happened here, but I’m actually going back to Nordstrom and asking for some kind of compensation. Not sure what went sideways here but I was soaked and cold but grateful it was just for an afternoon and not brought on a trip with lots of walking and inclement weather - which is what I bought it for. Stay away from this particular Barbour piece.

So...let's talk about the sleeves. They are so incredibly wide, it looks clowny. If it were an avant garde piece, I could understand, but this is classic Barbour. Please look very very very close at the photo and analyze if you like that, then multiply the volume by 10. Poor coat. I had high hopes.
