Fresh and light
When I step into an elevator or small room I'm often asked what perfume I'm wearing - I've been wearing Happy by Clinique for years. The fragrance is light, never overpowering, and can be worn year-round. I try other perfumes but end up coming back to Happy. Love it!

No scent at all
I have worn Happy Clinique for years. The last bottle I bought this past May is very disappointing. It smells like alcohol diluted in water. I used to get compliments all the time and the scent would linger on my clothes for hours. Now, I smell alcohol when I first put it on and then no scent at all. I am not one of those people who can afford to spend money on something that doesn't work so, it is annoying. I am seeing some reviews lately that the scent has changed and I agree.

Truly happy
When I smell this fragrance, I get a lift. The grapefruit is so fresh, the other notes so lovely. I love this citrusy scent--the citrus really stands out, but it is so light, so airy, so fun.
I truly and honestly feel HAPPY when I wear this fragrance.
Except...
WARNING: This perfume has a short shelf life. I had a bottle, and when it was down to a half an inch of fragrance left, it abruptly went bad.
It smelled like alcohol, like rubbing alcohol. It was a dreadful smell.
I got another bottle to replace it, and it still smelled like alcohol!
I finally learned that this perfume has a short shelf life. So it has to be a new bottle for it to smell right. If it's older than, say, eight months, (maybe even six months) the scent will break down. That means if you buy a bottle that has been sitting for a long time in a stock room, it will smell terrible.
Now that I know this, I can find and buy the scent so that it has not broken down into alcohol. When it's fresh and new, it is so delightful! Just picks me up.

Clinique 'Happy' makes me HAPPY!
Clinique 'Happy' is a light, refreshing scent that I love to smell on my wife. Not overpowering, but the right mellow overtones that blends perfectly with my wives chemistry!!!

The Best Cologne for me
Over the years, I have been given gifts of perfume or cologne that I never use. Even visiting Nordstrom's, I would be invited to try new fragrances as samples. Many smelled great but they were not my cup of tea. And then one day I received a sample of Clinique's Happy cologne in one of those give away cosmetic bags. I was in heaven! The fragrance is light with a tint of citrus. It is not heavy with floral tones nor earthy nor musky! It is light and refreshing. This is the only cologne I ever wear now and I wear it everyday. And.....it is not expensive.

Happy makes me happy!
This is my favorite fragrance. First, I like the name because I believe in being happy. It isn't always easy, but this fragrance is a good reminder that a positive attitude is important to leading a good life. Happy is light with citrus and floral notes making it a nice choice for summer.
