Halter Neck Satin Sheath Gown

Dress is beautiful but disappointed with new shipping packaging. Nordstrom for some reason now ships every package in a plastic bag. Dress was bundled up in a plastic bag with so many creases. You’ll have to take to the cleaners to have it steamed press. What happened to shipping clothes hung on a clothes hanger, in a garment hanger and boxed. Nordstrom, you can do better. As a matter of fact, Bloomingdales is doing the same. Customer satisfaction is not a priority anymore.

This dress was gorgeous in person. Unfortunately, I had to return it because it pushed my chest down in an unflattering way, and the back cut out doesn’t lend itself to a bra easily. The fabric was soft, the yellow was beautiful, and the waist was accentuated nicely by the ruching in back. The packaging is horrible and offensive to such a nice dress. I’m flabbergasted that Nordstrom would sink to wrapping a gown in the way in this photo. When unrolled, the dress is covered in wrinkles requiring a trip to the dry cleaners. Nordstrom, do better.

The dress itself is absolutely stunning, but I have never seen more issues with the fabric. For an almost $300 dress, there are so many snags, ripped seams, and loose threads in the neck and back of the dress. While at the store in person, I tried it on and asked for a sort of discount, as it looked like it had been worn outside a few times and had the worst snags. They said no and told me they'd order it to be here in two days. They ended up ordering a size down since 6 wasn't available without telling me (thank god it fits), and it was delivered a little over a week later. This cut my time to get it hemmed in half, and I'm now paying rush fees to get it to my length. Upon opening the box, it looked like it had been thrown in; it was very wrinkled, and when I tried it on, it had a massive snag in the middle of the dress. Luckily, after fighting for it, I was able to get a $50 refund. Beautiful dress if you have $300 to spend and don't worry about quality.

I purchased this dress as a back up for the one I chose for a wedding this coming June. I tried to return this one and I just can't do it! It's absolutely beautiful and the event will come. I was fortunate to purchase the chocolate shade in a 4. Although I would have preferred a 4 petite, this will be worth having the alterations completed. It is very flattering and very well made.
