Women's Crop V-Neck Cardigan

This is the 3rd Halogen cardigan that I've ordered w/ the Anniversary sale and it's another gorgeous well made, soft staple item. I am a size 12-14 and the large fits perfectly, w/ ample room for a layering. If you prefer a much baggier sweater to layer w/ bulkier items, then I would go up a size. It's the updated version of other shorter sweaters that now look frumpy on this 53 year old body, but it's not TOO cropped or trendy. Thank you for such a great price on a quality item.

I bought this cardigan in black in the 2021 NAS and bought a second on in the 2022 NAS as I spend time in two locations and wanted one of these in both places. I did not have high expectations for the synthetic blend but the knit wore very well with no pilling or fuzzing. Some other reviews comment on how thin the knit is and how boxy the shape is but those are two things that make this look like a much more expensive item and features I particularly like. This type of fine knit is often labeled "featherweight" which allows it to drape nicely. Since mine is black, the slight transparency when you hold it up to the light is not an issue but perhaps it could be in a light color. The short boxy shape with slightly dropped shoulders is not sloppy or oversized -- it creates an architectural look. I would definitely not size down, otherwise the intended effect is lost and the proportions would be off. If I was looking for more traditional, tidy cardigan for example to wear over a classic shirt, then I would go to a different style rather than sizing down.

I first purchased this cardigan in the colour 'pink tulle' - I'm very pleased with it. The colour is so pretty; the colour is a touch more vibrant in person, but I loved that. My office is a bit conservative, so I wore this cardigan buttoned up with a cami underneath - the v-neck wasn't too deep and I liked that I could wear something that was expressive through colour but still matched our dress code expectations. I decided to purchase this style in black too, it seems like a great layering piece and I'm imagining it buttoned up under a little leather jacket this fall.
