Textured Tie Waist Shirtdress

All dresses need pockets like these! Pretty much what I expected given the price point. Lovely striped green. Fabric weight a little crisp and great for warmer summer and spring days. I purchased Medium for my 140#, 5’4”, shorter torso. I have zero waist so I always appreciate a tie waist scenario. Spouse likes it so it’s an all around win for us LOL. Heading out on a work trip with me to a sunny location tomorrow!

Pretty much a miss for me. Nice color but that’s about it. Quality isn’t that great and there is no lining. The feel of the fabric with the light ribbing is different. But the dress is made for women with no hips or curves. A straight cut. The size I purchased fits but the shape is awful, way too long it makes one with any shape at all look frumpy. The the belt is also a little short in length, needs to be a bit longer to have a more dramatic tie off. I’ll be returning this.

I love the style of the shirtdress. The color is not as bright as in the picture, more or a mustard than a lemon. If you want a better idea of the color, look at the video. I love the fabric with the rib effect but I think it is low quality. But again, it is an inexpensive dress and I think it will suit me in the spring and summer and will be hard to replicate from another vendor or source. Am ordering up a size for more comfortable fit but that is not necessarily due to the sizing which I think is true to size.

At first, I was a bit disappointed because when I ordered it I did not realize this dress has a slightly crinkly, wrinkly nylon texture and it is quite sheer. For the price, it should have a lining. Anyhoo, I gave it a quick steam and tried it on with a different belt and used the self belt as a neck tie and it looks very classy. I will keep it.
