Details & care
What it is: A shampoo that gently cleanses hair without stripping, thus reinforcing and strengthening fragile hair from the inside out.
What it does: This shampoo forms a scaffold around each hair fiber to help protect from external aggressors. It helps prevent breakage and hair fallout caused by brushing and styling, encouraging growth over time. It also improves the tensile strength and elasticity of each hair strand. The shampoo is formulated with Oribe's Signature Complex of watermelon, lychee and edelweiss flower, which help defend hair from oxidative stress, photoaging and the deterioration and color-depleting effects of the elements. A curative blend of chia seed, bio-fermented bamboo and plant-based protein penetrate the hair cortex to build strength from within. Additional ingredients help rehydrate and strengthen hair, fortifying brittle ends while improving overall hair health and encouraging length.
How to use: Lather onto wet hair, then rinse.

Very Drying & Tangling
I have tried some other Oribe shampoos which tend to be drying. This shampoo was very hard to rinse out in the first place most likely due to their "bamboo" coating which does indeed make the hair feel coated. While trying to rinse it out, not an easy task, my hair got very tangled. I had to shampoo my hair again just to make sure it was all out. My favorite go to shampoo is Acqua di Parma, sold at Nordstrom. I do like to alternate it with another shampoo but it won't be this one.

Hives for 2 Weeks
My body hates this. The yellow line of Oribe gave me a two week case of hives. I am not allergic to anything, so I had a hard time believing it. I waited six weeks and then tried it again. That resulted in hives for another two weeks. Too bad, because my hair looked fantastic! Back to my long time love the Gold Lust line.

Greasy roots and dry ends
:( I really wanted to love this as I’ve seen so many reviews saying how amazing it is. I have fine platinum wavy hair and I’ve used the shampoo and conditioner 5 times now and every time I get the same result - thick greasy roots and dry ends by the end of the night on wash day. Normally I can go 3 days until my roots are greasy. I don’t understand why this happened with these products? My hair also looked artificially shiny almost plastic like. It was strange. Bummer. Definitely returning because for that price and those results - it’s a no from me.

Very drying and not worth the price in my opinion. I also think the fragrance is overrated and can be overwhelming, gave me a headache.

So good!
I didn't want to like this product SO much. I get the price point, seriously ...sincerely. This shampoo is so good! Lovely fresh scent, lathers incredibly well, doesn't leave behind a residue, and has actually precipitated hair growth. I use this as a second cleanse (behind a detox shampoo). Yep. I can appreciate the price point now. There really isn't anything else like this product on the market. I've looked, tried hundreds, and have relegated myself to the fact that this item will be repurchased.
