It began with boiled-wool clogs and slippers—footwear that isn't just ultra-comfy but extra-durable and hardworking, just like the workhorse that graces the Haflinger logo. The brand has evolved to include an array of shoes designed and expertly crafted to promote comfort with wide-ranging versatility.

Inexpensive foot therapy!
True story: I developed a sharp pain in my heel when walking that went on for over a year. Resting it and stretching didn't help, so I just lived with the pain.
I bought these slippers because I needed some, not with any idea it would help my heel problem. I wore them all the time in the house (no more going barefoot, not even in summer), and in a few months my heel pain was gone. It's been 18 months since then and my heel is still pain-free, even when I walk over two miles, as I did yesterday.
An acquaintance of mine had the same symptoms I had. Like me, she's chubby, goes barefoot around the house, and had sharp heel pain when walking. The doctors diagnosed "heel spurs" and recommended surgery - with general anesthesia - to correct it. I tried to get her to experiment with these slippers, but she opted to go under the knife.
I'm no doctor, but I think that if you have heel pain - especially if you're on the chubby side (which takes its toll on feet) and you normally frolic about barefoot - then you owe it to your body and your bank account to try these slippers before something as invasive as surgery.
I recommend you wear them all the time in the house, and give them at least 2-3 months to help your feet heal. You may wear them out with all that use (I wore out my first pair), but hey....you can buy a lot of slippers for what surgery would cost.
And they feel REALLY good on your feet, too!

Haflinger Slipper
Recently had surgery on both feet, and my podiatrist recommended Haflinger slippers to replace the soft/flimsy type of house slippers that I'd been wearing for years. I've been wearing these for just a few days and I'm already a huge fan! I LOVE them...they have great arch support and they're VERY comfortable. We forget how much time we spend on our feet at home -- cooking, cleaning, ironing, doing the dishes, etc -- so it's important to have supportive footwear indoors, as well as outdoors. These are worth every penny. I love coming home and knowing that I get to put these slippers on!! Buy these -- you won't regret it!! And by the way, my podiatrist said that he wears Haflinger slippers at home, too. If a foot doctor wears them, then you know they've gotta be good!! :)

Happy Feet
The Haflinger Classic Slipper is just what it says. It is a boiled wool classic that will keep your feet warm and toasty . . . practical. The slipper looks just like what it is, a houseshoe that you can run to the mailbox wearing. If your feet are somewhat narrow, like mine, you will have to wear a thick sock, as the shoe runs quite wide. It does have excellent arch support.

Love it!
I love these slippers. I am only disappointed that I don't have more hours in the day to wear them!

Nice natural materials
Excellent quality slipper clogs. I like their natural materials, without any smelly plastics or antimicrobial sprays. I was concerned that the longitudinal seam along the top of the foot might cause discomfort, but my recipient said they felt fine. The insoles are comfortable and lined with wool felt but are not removable. Geisswien makes a similar slipper clog in case you need removable insoles.

Comfy but Small
I ordered a size 38 since I am 7.5-8 but these were very small. I tried to exchange for a 39 but out of stock. So bummed! Great arch support and so comfy!
