Shalimar Eau de Toilette Spray

I have worn Shalimar since I was in my 20's. I started with the colgne and worked up. Now I use both the Eau de Toilette and the perfume. The spray is my day time scent and will use the perfume sparingly in the evening. This is a powerful scent and I have used it for so long I don't always smell it on myself so I do on occasion use something else, but always go back to Shalimar. My advice to anyone just trying it; a little goes a long way.

I LOVE this fragrance!! It's been my signature fragrance for 30+ years. I've tried to change it - or add another one - but I always go back to Shalimar. When men stop you in elevators and grocery store lines to ask you what perfume you're wearing so they can get it for their wives/girlfriends, you know it's good. Maybe it just goes with my chemistry, but I get constant compliments on this fragrance. I have the lotion as well so I can layer for a longer lasting fragrance. It's soft and very feminine and I feel like such a lady when I wear it. Honestly, you can't go wrong with Shalimar!

This is for the EdT version of Shalimar - there is a slight ting of smokiness or burnt wood in the EdT which doesn't present itself at all in the perfume version. I can also see why the EdT version doesn't get as much love as the slightly burnt notes can turn some people off. I think the smoky notes lend something slightly special to the EdT version and I reach for the EdT more than the EdP.

Truly, a fragrance exhibiting allure, refinement, and distinction! Shalimar's exquisite notes of vanilla, citrus, and smoke/powder maintain an evened, 'sweetened' presence upon one's self. An evening fragrance, to my consideration, however, greatly respectable through varying occurrences. (Regarding longevity, the Eau de Toilette falls mildly short, although, its smoothness proves addicting, and furthermore 'acceptable.') An exotic, timeless scent!
