Infused with conditioner to protect, its ultra-glossy oils prevent running or smudging. The fine elastomer brush easily and precisely coats lashes one by one—even the shortest lashes and those at the very corner of the eye—to offer a sensational curve that's simply lashtastic.
How to use: Become a volume expert with the zigzag application. To make lashes appear fuller and thicker, put the brush at the base of the eyelashes and sweep up with a slight zigzag wiggle as you go, then guide the brush gently toward the ends.

Great for volume, sculpting
Formula seems about the same as the original Guerlain Cil d'Enfer, but the brush on this is a plastic comb, rather than fiber. I much prefer this iteration, though, as I get much better volume and shaping out of this brush. The brush functions like a comb and the bristles are spaced farther apart than on most others I've used, which keeps the fairly thick formula from getting too goopy. The stem of the wand is flexible, which takes a little getting used to, but for me it was fine. Overall, this mascara is great for holding a curl, adding volume, and fanning out lashes at the outer corners.

Not as good as the original mascara
I actually was disappointed with this product as it spreads the mascara in an uneven fashion.

not exactly volumizing but still good
Here is the deal. It's good mascara. Plus packaging is to die for. It gives a great definition and length to my lashes. But not so much of the volume that A was looking for. Overall it's a good mascara but not volumizing.

Great volume!
Really good volume, nice black formula, very soft on lashes - they are soft and flexible even after mascara dries. No flaking or smudging. Reminds me of chanel le volume but with less clumping. Surprisingly great mascara

Not a fan
I have long but thin lashes, and for me it's all about the brush. This brush was long but too wiggly, and the mascara didn't coat well, even after multiple applications. I exchanged the SO VOLUME for the Guerlain Cils D'Enfer Maxi lash and what a difference! Great brush and application and now I have long, dark beautiful lashes.The scent is delightful too. I know this should be a review of just the SO VOLUME but Guerlain makes a much better mascara than this one.

Never buying another kind!!
This is by far the best mascara ever. Like some other reviewers, I also picked this as one of my beauty samples when purchasing another beauty product. I could not be more impressed or more satisfied. I have an issue with most mascaras running after only a few hours. So, I always had to buy the Kiss Tubing mascara for it to stay put. This mascara is so much better. I have tried many, including Dior Showstopper, all Mac mascaras, Smashbox, Bare Minerals, Chanel, you name it. This one is my favorite. It totally makes your face come alive, doesn't clump, separates the lashes like no other, and stays put. Guerlain knocked it out of the park with this one!!!

new favorite
I have long, straight lashes and am always looking for a volumizing mascara that can hold a curl. Finally tried Guerlain and I'm in love! Lashes look very lush and held a curl all day. Will definitely repurchase.
