Loafer (Women)

I should start off by saying I am not a big designer logo girl. I spend money on designer pieces when the fit or comfort is incomparable to “influenced cheaper pieces” or when there is a design that is very specific to the item. I don’t like logos of brands on the clothes or shoes I buy usually either and don’t want to advertise what I spend. I will look all over for a designer handbag that doesn’t have the brand stamped on the exterior, because I’m buying it for the luxury of the material and quality only. My husband surprised me with these shoes for my birthday and as much as I think it Gucci when I see loafers, I typically wouldn’t wear a pair because they’re too “loud” with the design or when they’re so straightforward and simple, I would go with a cheaper option. These are perfect! They have that classic, timeless “Audrey Hepburn” look to me and are elegant and understated but have a little hint of the design with the double G’s. Just right for me. Not flashy, not over the top. I got the white pair and they’re not a bright white so they don’t look ridiculous. They are going to be a staple in my closet with light jeans and a t-shirt...the perfect way to raise the fashion bar with an otherwise casual outfit. The only downside, and I chose to not dock a star for it because it works for me, is that the style runs very narrow towards the back of the heel. I didn’t think they fit me at first and it was so hard to get them on, but once I slipped my feet in the length was the right size for my feet and I wouldn’t have gone up a size for that reason. It is leather so it will stretch. If you have an average to narrow foot these will fit, but if you run slightly on the wider side you will need to get them stretched or go with another style.
