Deep burgundy that’s perfect for fall
As always, this loafer is beautiful and a classic which I’ve bought several times on this website with no problems. This time,I was sent a gently worn pair. I don’t know how this slipped by quality control, but it was unexpected. I like the burgundy color for fall, but I do feel slightly cheated.

Sizing is tricky.
Beautiful color, my complaint is the sizing. Gucci sizing is a hit or miss. I wear 38.5 -39. My canvas Gucci loafers are 38.5 and fit perfectly. In this pair I had to go down to size 37.5 which is a bit tight in a toe area however when I tried 38 it was too loose in the back. I kept 37.5 and hopefully it will stretch a bit.

slightly damaged
I didn’t closely inspect the shoes while at the store, but once I got home, I noticed they were slightly damaged on the inside. It’s unclear whether they were gently used (they appeared that way) or simply defective. I’ll be returning them. I’ve ordered another pair online and hope that one arrives new and in perfect condition. The shoes themselves are gorgeous and very comfortable.
