Frances GG Matelassé Platform Combat Boot (Women)

I’m a huge fan of any type combat boot. With my fave brand having this style, I had to have these. I had not had good luck with a previous Gucci combat boot purchase but I thought these would work. They ultimately went back and here’s why; they look HUGE on your feet. I’m a solid 39 in Gucci and they fit perfectly but I couldn’t get over the overly clunky, clownish look. I know it’s possible to have a chunky boot yet still be feminine, others brands do it. I just wish Gucci could figure it out.

I picked up my order today. The boots are looking great, very comfortable to wear, they are made from the soft leather, so I don’t see myself with blisters like I have from wearing Dr.Martins. I did noticed some cons though: 1) feet look really bigger than it actually is (it reminded me of clowns shoes); 2) I wear size 10-10,5 and followed recommendations provided here (runs small, go with a bigger size if between), so I got the 10,5 - ended up with them being a bit bigger, but this is not a real deal breaker for me. I wish they could sell these in the color “Tan” - it is an awesome one.
