Excels at it's intended purpose
I love this jacket for what it is - timeless, durable, functional, and equally excellent for generally being outdoors and casual urban wear. I have plenty of technical jackets for intense outdoor activities in all weathers. I did not buy this jacket for that. I wanted a more casual jacket I can equally wear with jeans, chinos or a pair of Kebs, should the need arise. This sits very nicely between my hardcore Singi Winter Jacket and my Greenland Jacket No.1 Special edition shell. I'll wear it out in the low hills, on local walks, and taking a wander to the pub.
I enjoy the process of waxing my g1000 garments as the need arises - it's meditative in a way. The g1000 material is bombproof and I never need to worry about catching on branches or scuffs. I'm not a fan of "babying" my gear and that is definitely not needed with this.
As for the fit, I would say that it lends itself to a more urban and trim aesthetic. I'm 194cm and around 90-95kg. Fjallraven is known for catering to a Nordic frame, and this jacket is no exception. Personally, it works great for me, but I understand as a former bigger guy the sizing may require a try-on before purchasing, especially if you want to be layering up underneath.
All in all I'm very happy with this, and I'll end with what is to many a contrversial statement when discussing outdoor wear - I just absolutely *love* the way it looks.

Dealbreaker because of the hood
I like this jacket and have had it for 3 years. The hood is a deal breaker rendering the jacket unusable for the very reason I bought it. Considering returning or getting rid of the jacket.

Not a good customer service
I order this jacket for a gift to my son and specify that i wanted in a box wrap for a gift and wrote a message card for him. The merchandise came in a plastic bag with no name and no gift wrap.
very disappointed.

Love the fit - zipper needs improvement
Very warm jack. Love the fit. The Zipper is difficult to get started. I hope that the zipper holds up over time and that this isn't the beginning of the end for the zipper. For this price I would expect a better working zipper.

Bit of a disappointment
Replaced an old version with this.
The fit is a lot smaller which is a pain but not a deal breaker however the hood all be it warm is useless in wind and needs elastic to tighten it at the very least.
Seems it’s more of a fashion/dog walking jacket than a jacket that’s designed to be reliable.
I would not recommend for the price.

Disappointing sizing.
The quality of the jacket is great. The sizing and proportions are totally wrong. I bought a size large in this version, which previously has fitted fine. This one is tight around the shoulders, a bit shorter, and the hood is useless unless you have a head the size of a baseball. A major design fault. I have loads of clothing from this brand so very disappointing.

Concerned about decline in standards.
I’ve owned a Greenland Winter Jacket some years ago, and really enjoyed it. However, in my view the quality of this product has greatly declined. Firstly the hood has no adjustment: unless you’re wearing a helmet, the loose hood just blows off your head, making it useless for anything except warming the back of up our neck. I found the quality of the stitching variable and the fit strange, tight in places, loose in others (my previous one had a slightly loose fit, but very consistent). Some of the lining fitted well, other parts were loose. I think this jacket is an example of what I perceive as a decline in standards from this once great brand, which I first wore in 1999
