The first time they were
The first time they were washed in a dishwasher they came out with rust. I had bought a more expensive set 20 year ago and they never rusted however I needed some replacements and the rusted immediately.

Good Knives
I kind of wish I would have spent the extra money and purchased the Classic Series instead of the Gourmet Series steak knives. The Gourmet is fine and they do the job, but I like a little more weight to my knives.
