Good Icon Straight Leg Velvet Jeans

The fabric is super opulent! The color is luxuriously saturated, and the flocking is very soft. These jeans look expensive. I'm 5'9", 135 lbs, and I got my usual size 8. They fit me perfectly in the rise, hips, and inseam, but there's a huge waistband gap in the back. There's a 1. 5" gap between the waistband and my back when standing, and a 2. 5" gap when sitting (which is neither demure nor mindful). Also, the fabric is very heavy and stiff--almost like a suede--which I found to be restrictive. They're going to be too heavy for spring/summer, making their use somewhat limited. I tried them on multiple times just to be sure, but sadly, I chose to return them. I wish the fabric had a little more drape and stretch to it, because these jeans are truly beautiful.
