Gommino Driving Shoe

Shoe fits well and looks nice—a bit rounded in the toes, but comfortable for sure. However, I’ve only worn the shoe about five or six times since I bought it nearly 5 months ago. And I noticed a few times ago that the leather was peeling off of the heel area. Initially, I thought it was some dirt that I may have stepped in, but I walk on the sidewalk from my car to my office And on carpet or linoleum floors once there. I drive with these driving shoes and I think that’s the only time where the heel might be touching the ground. However, I have floor mats like most people do in their car so I’m not sure why they’re getting worn like this. I realize it may be hard to see this area by other people, but it really bothers me that these nice pair of shoes from a reputable company are wearing out like this. I’m going to return them. I have another pair of Tod‘s loafers that are suede which do not have this issue.
