Hi Star Low Top Platform Sneaker (Women)

These are rose gold as in the picture—the description says they are silver. I was hoping they were as pictured so I am happy! As with all GGDB, these are superb. So incredibly comfortable right out of the box and have such a lux feel to them. These are a cleaner style, FYI. I am a little more worried about wearing them compared with my more distressed ones, which for those I feel like I don’t have to worry about dirt or scuffs—with these I will notice the wear more. However they are so pretty, I have to have them!!!!

I love the look of Golden Goose. Lot's of 'haters' out there, but that comes from the price tag. We all are paying big bucks for distressed/designer jeans, and then everyone is hating on the distressed sneaker. They'll come around! Anyway, I have a narrow foot and wear between a 10- 10.5 US. When you are looking at Italian sizing (they run smaller than other European sizing) when they say a size 40 is a 10 US...no way honey, that's a 9-9.5 US. A size 41 is a small 10 US. And a 42 can be a 10.5 or 11 depending. In Golden Goose, it's a 10.5 in my experience (I own several pairs). I ordered this shoe as it's cute and summery and I liked the idea of the elevated heel. Unfortunately, at least in the 42 (which fits like a 10.5 US) is super wide looking and clunky/heavy. Definitely not feminine. Again, this is based on the larger size. I have the lower profile GG sneakers and I don't have this problem. I really do think manufacturers assume a larger size means big, wide, inflated feet. I think this is a mistake. Longer feet, usually means taller people. And my guess is they don't have huge wide feet. Tall people tend to have narrow feet...at least with my many women friends who are tall like me. Ugh. Obviously there are exceptions. I'm writing this out of frustration. Not only to Italy (lol), but to the US shoe manufacturers out there. :) Long, small feet unite!
