A Classic Revisited
I first wore L’Interdit back in the early 1960’s. The original was more in sync with the name because it was more sophisticated and worldly than this newest iteration which I find more feminine and flirtatious. That’s not to say there is anything wrong with it and it is reminiscent of the original which was created for Audrey Hepburn. If you think about the ultra chic and delightfully fresh image of Ms. Hepburn, you’ll have an idea of what the original was like.
Over the decades, as tastes have changed and some ingredients are no longer permitted, some of the older classics have had to evolve—and so did L’Interdit. Consequently, when I purchased this, I did not expect it to be the L’Interdit of old. I expected it to be a modern take on the classic and was not in the least bit disappointed with it. It was perfect on me in the 1960’s and it is perfect on me now.

Where is the Scent?
I was so disappointed by this purchase. Even though this is an Eau De Parfum there is no scent lasting longer than 30 minutes tops. I thought maybe it was just me but my co-worker who is extremely sensitive to smells cannot pick up the scent. I can't return this item due to the return policy. For over $100 per bottle I would expect a better product. So dissapointed.

Divine!!
I was browsing the fragrance isles at Nordstrom. The sales associate came up and started yk help me with funding a fragrance. She asked me what I was looking for. I told her I wanted something a little sweet but also had some spice. I smelled so many perfumes they were all quite lovely but just not what I was looking for. I was about to give up and call it a day and she told me she had one more. By golly it was it. I knew the minute she sprayed it on the tester. I absolutely love the small of Jasmine and I could spell it instantly followed the patchouli notes. I also was drawn in by the history of this particular fragrance that it was a new spin on the original that I believe she said was for Aubtey Hepburn. None the less you cant go wrong. I get complimented daily when I wear it. It truly is a beautiful fragrance.

Pleasantly Surprised
This is such a beautiful fragrance. Sadly, I wrote it off initially months ago because I thought the opening was too sweet on paper. I'm so glad I gave it chance on my skin. I love it more every time I wear it. This would get 5 stars from me if the lasting power was better on my skin. It becomes a bit of an "aura" fragrance within 1-2 hours for me (which is fine, I suppose), and it's totally gone within 4. Travel/purse sprays for on-the-go would be nice. I feel this could work for women of all ages and walks of life. Really beautiful and we'll thought out.

I walked into Nordstrom browsing with no intent to purchase, I was "just looking" until I came across this beauty, it was love at first sniff, its classy, elegant and feminine. I sprayed it on my wrist and was amazed that the next morning it was still standing strong. I'm really in love with this fragrance!
