L'Interdit Eau de Parfum

I first wore L’Interdit back in the early 1960’s. The original was more in sync with the name because it was more sophisticated and worldly than this newest iteration which I find more feminine and flirtatious. That’s not to say there is anything wrong with it and it is reminiscent of the original which was created for Audrey Hepburn. If you think about the ultra chic and delightfully fresh image of Ms. Hepburn, you’ll have an idea of what the original was like. Over the decades, as tastes have changed and some ingredients are no longer permitted, some of the older classics have had to evolve—and so did L’Interdit. Consequently, when I purchased this, I did not expect it to be the L’Interdit of old. I expected it to be a modern take on the classic and was not in the least bit disappointed with it. It was perfect on me in the 1960’s and it is perfect on me now.
