Gender Inclusive XT-6 Gore-Tex^® Waterproof Sneaker

These shoes were a xmas gift. After 4.5 months and approx on average 4200-5700 steps per day over footpaths and tracks, parts of the soles wore down to virtually flat ( as I expalined to Salomon) I have been emailing Salomom asking whether there is an issue for such an expensive shoe and if they could investigate. The only response I get is below: "Wear like this can vary depending on the surfaces the shoes are used on and how frequently they are worn. Our product team has acknowledged your feedback, as these factors can all influence how quickly the shoe wears over time". If this is the case, perhaps they should warn people that depending on surface etc, they will wear down quickly. It should also be noted I have bought other brands that at least last close to a year.
