Gen Platform Slide Sandal (Women)

I loved the comfort and the look of these. However, with my slightly wide foot, these would take awhile to stretch with the man-made upper. The were also slightly too long. I am a 7.5 and there was at least half an inch between my toe and the front in the size 7 pair I ordered. Both these issues I could have lived with, except the sole is this weird, inexplicable mix of plain rubber material interspersed with some sort of faux velvet/suede material. I'm no germaphobe, I didn't feel comfortable with wearing these outside where that faux material would pick up and absorb whatever's on the street. Returned, reluctantly.

Normally I'm a true 7.5, but I've been wearing FitFlops for years and I'm always a 7 with their microwobble shoes. This was no exception. While one reviewer commented on the fuzzy soles, this reduces the rubber sneaker squeak inside, making these shoes even more versatile. The black and white fabric with cork edging detailing is lovely. You can adjust the width on the two straps but with a little difficulty as the straps do not come fully loose (a benefit for maintaining the sleek look of the straps). I've worn it a couple times so far and no break in is required. Looking forward to wearing these all summer long.

I'm a huge Fit Flop wearer, and these new styles are amazing. I got the double band with stitching and a week later ordered the suede ones with toe posts. These are elevated from standard rubber sandals. Both are extremely comfortable and do not require any break-in time. The insoles are so soft on my feet. I love these so much!

I'm partial to FitFlops because they fit my foot so well. These are my favorites ever. The stitching makes them so distinctive; tons of compliments every time I wear them. I find them more comfortable - more "cushiony" with better arch support - than my Birks (tho I love those too.)
