Laila Eau de Parfum

How can I describe Laila? I first smelled this on a co-worker as I passed by her, and I immediately backed up to ask her what she was wearing. My company has a very strict policy on perfume, but this didn't smell strong. It just smelled amazing. She told me what it was, and I asked my husband for it that Christmas. That was 2010, and I have been wearing it ever since. I don't use a lot, as per the aforementioned company policy, and my 3.4 oz. bottle is not even half way gone. This fragrance, as other reviewers have mentioned, is unlike anything I've ever smelled. It is at once arresting and delicious, especially with the watermelon note. As it settles, it becomes a fruity-floral, but a woman's fruity-floral (as opposed to a teenage girl's fruity-floral). And that's how I feel when I wear it - a grown, sophisticated, and somewhat hip woman. The fact that Laila doesn't contain any synthetic ingredients is a testament, I think, to her extraordinary personality. I prefer and apply my perfume intimately. I only want you to be able to smell me when I give you a hug or whisper something in your ear. With Laila, this is difficult to manage because she has a somewhat strong sillage. However, because she is so exquisite, I must give in to the demand to wear her. I apply it very sparingly, to turn the sillage volume down. Laila is not just a perfume ~ she is an experience. An experience I think most women would enjoy.
