Best one I've found!
I develop badly callused heels, especially in summer, which often times crack. Ow! I tried many different removers, pedieggs, files, pumice stones, gels but none really did the job as well as I would've liked. After visiting the Nordstrom Spa for a pedicure, the aethetician recommended this German file. I was suspect at first but figured why not. Wow was she right! It does the job and does it better than any other method I've tried including professional pedicures. The file has a rough side, used first to rub off the heavy callus. And it's followed by a fine side that smooths the skin. It works best after soaking your feet or at the end of a shower. I don't know exactly why this file is so different from others. I think it has to do with the type of grit used (it's underneath a special coating so it never rubs off or dulls) I have used this file for years now so I can attest to it's quality and its effectiveness. The wood handle is incredibly waterproof. I can leave it in my shower (not sitting in water of course) and it doesn't warp or mildew. If you need a good callus file, give this one a try. You won't regret it.

WAY TOO ABRASIVE for me
I was looking for a good foot file but this one turned out to be WAY TOOOOOOO abrasive for me. My husband even found it too rough for his feet ( and that's amazing right there ) I suppose if you have really, really bad feet this would work for you. Mine aren't all that bad just wanted a little help for smoothness, this wasn't it.

overpriced
I just received this file today and for the price I thought it must be exceptional and based on all reviews that's what I expected. I have had a file made by Earth Therapeutics that I paid $5 from Ulta that is very similar if not better. This one is similar, a wooden file with sandpaper attached to both sides, but both are coarse and rough where as my less expensive one has a coarse side and a smooth side which softens my skin better. This file still leaves my heels feeling rough. I haven't put lotion on yet but I do that daily anyway and still better results with my less expensive one. I have bought files for years from Sally's, Ulta and other drug stores and this one is just more money, not better quality. Even the others I have purchased are waterproof and can be rinsed.

IF YOU WANT THE VERY BEST
It does take an exceptional product for me to review. When I tell you it is better than a professional pedicure.....it totally smoothes dry feet, making them like a babies....well you know what I mean. You really need to try this item....you will not go wrong.....I do follow up with Debrorah Lippmans foot cream...you will not believe the difference.....oh just a side note....FYI you know when you get skin care sample mosturizers you dont care for...well use them on your feet at nite...Enjoy......a real cosmetic critic

The best foot product ever!!
These foot files are a miracle! I've tried so many different creams, sanders, files, lotions, potions, etc. and never had one give anything close to the results I get with this thing! I was skeptical because I've tried so many products but I'm glad I gave it a try. Just purchased four more so I can give them to friends that have dry heels. I do use l'occitane foot lotion every day as well and I believe it is more effective since it can soak right into my heels instead of trying to fight its way past callouses. I believe anyone with dry heels/feet would love this item!! Crazy thing is that I've been using the file for about a year and it looks brand new. Simply came back for additional for friends and one backup for me.

It's the best!
I thought, oh another foot file! I have had this foot file for probably five years now, it's definitely the best. It's different on each side , so depending on how bad your feet are you can really make them smooth or just smooth off some rough spots. My feet are the worst and I have tried everything, this product IS the best!

It Really Works
I am barefoot much of the time at home and so I struggle with calluses. I've tried most every cream and callus remover device and this file works better than anything I've tried before.
