Great product
Outstanding product, I picked this up somewhat unexpectedly after it was recommended for me by someone in store. This jacket does not disappoint, it’s durable comfortable super functional and has a great fit. I think most people would be better off buying this jacket instead of the atom lt. I’ve worn it for 3 seasons and it works well even on warm evening. It’s not waterproof but will keep you dry enough, good on windy evenings. Initially I had thought it would be better with a smooth sleeve liner for better layering over a fleece but after wearing it with a tshirt I don’t think I’d change a thing anymore. Exceptional product and probably the jacket most people should buy. Though expensive I’d buy again in a heartbeat even at full price. I am 6’4” 190lbs and the large has a perfect fit for me, sleeves are long enough and the body has some room for layering without being boxy feeling, I also really like the cuffs

Why did you ruin a perfect color with those pocket
I’ve been waiting for a decent blue-grey Gamma MX for seasons. Finally, the "Dk Stratus" color looks amazing on the Jacket version. But why, for the love of design, did you add those bright blue contrast pockets to the Hoody?
The Jacket is sleek and monochromatic, while the Hoody looks like a DIY patchwork project. The contrast is jarring and cheapens the aesthetic of an otherwise high-end piece. We buy Arc'teryx for the minimalism and technical look, not for random pops of color that don't match. Please, give us a monochromatic Hoody option. This was a massive swing and a miss.

Hello YanZ, thank you for taking the time to share this with us. Your feedback on the Dk Stratus Gamma MX Hoody is genuinely appreciated. We’re glad the Jacket version hit the mark for you, and we understand how the contrast pocketing on the Hoody can feel out of step with the clean, monochromatic aesthetic many of our guests look for. The design team explored a more expressive color-blocked approach this season, but we can see that this direction didn’t resonate with everyone. Input like yours is incredibly valuable as we plan future colorways, and we’ll be sure to pass this along so the desire for a fully tonal option is heard.

Awesome
The jacket is awesome! It is warm when you’re wearing a long sleeve shirt underneath it and it fits like a glove. I was out with a little bit of misty rain and did not get wet through the jacket. I wouldn’t trade it for any other jacket.

I would recommend.
Fits me perfectly, I'm 5ft 10" and 11st in weight just to give you an idea, There's also plenty room for another layer which i'm happy about also. You can always find faults with things if you're determined enough, but on first impressions i cannot find any.You know straight away when you buy something whether you like it or not,and i think this jacket/hoody will be getting worn quite a lot from now on.

Could be great.
It would be awesome if Arcteryx went back to the old sizing. I usually wear an XL as I layer under jackets. An XL in this jacket is still too big with layers and the large size is too small to layer under. Pretty sad about this. I have no idea who or what made them decide to change the sizing.
arcteryx.com response
Hello RyanB, thank you for sharing this feedback with us. We’re sorry to hear the current sizing isn’t lining up with what has worked for you in the past — we know how important it is for a piece like the Gamma MX to fit comfortably over your layers without feeling too tight or too loose. Our sizing and fit updates are part of an ongoing effort to refine patterning, improve ergonomics, and create more consistency across the line, but we understand that changes can impact guests differently depending on how they use their gear. We truly appreciate you taking the time to let us know how this version fits for you, and we’ll make sure your experience is passed along to our design teams as they continue to evaluate future iterations.

Fits well and looks beautiful
it is very good quality, fine made as most arcteryx jackets with pockets which is very handy. Fits well too.
I found nowadays the quality is not as good as old days, I have been wearing arcteryx clothes form over 17 years.
The colors are so boring only 3 colors available.
Hope arcteryx makes more colors .
