GREAT JACKET FOR TRAVEL
I needed a relatively light jacket for travel, but hate the look of traditional raincoats. The fabric of this jacket is perfect! Water repellant with a hood in case it rains, but it can also double as a light jacket for sunny but cool days. It is warmer than a regular rain jacket so I won’t be wearing it in the miserably hot climate in which I live. But for travel, it is stylish, has classic lines, and can be worn over a sweater without adding too much bulk. I typically purchase an XL in jackets because of large bust, and this one was true to size with more than adequate room. The length is great too, as it covers the rear. I am very pleased with this purchase.

Very Lightweight
This coat is more lightweight than the pics shown. Usually I have to size up in soft shell coats but this one runs true to size. It's just not a winter coat. Very lightweight not what I was expecting.

Too big and tshirt material on the side panels.
If you’re buying this jacket, size down. It’s very large for the labeled size. Also I had seen another review mentioning side panels but didn’t know what it meant. Now I know: you cannot tell from the picture, but the jacket is a nice thick water resistant material everywhere except the side panels, where it’s something similar to thin, cheap, t-shirt material. It lowers the quality of the piece considerably.
