Elegant + Classy
Purchased this for my bridal shower and it was perfect. Very flattering shape and the brocade details are stunning. I was worried the sleeves would be tight based on other reviews and they definitely were. I almost had my mom tailor the dress, but was worried it would change the shape of the sleeve. I decided to try it out for the shower and see how I felt afterword -- turned out that it ended up being fine. I think it loosens up over time, but feels quite stiff and restricting initially. The dress is very classy - hard to find something like this these days!

Quality and form not great
Pretty but the sleeves made me look like a sister wife. Overall the Gal Meets Glam Collection falls short. For a $200 dress, the quality is not there. The price point is way to high and everything fits weird. I have tried on a couple of the other dresses and there's no form to them. They sort of collapse in on themselves. Super pretty but not attractive on.

Pretty dress, bad fit
This dress instantly caught my eye when the GMG look book came out, and upon first opening the box, I still loved it. The jacquard fabric and floral print are beautiful, and I really loved the button details. Unfortunately, that’s where the love affair ended. This dress runs small, and I mean really really small. I have a true hourglass shape and am usually able to go down a size from normal in this cut of dresses. I had to go up two in this dress. There is no give whatsoever in the chest, waist, or arms. The sleeves were way too puffy for my liking - kind of like a smocked toddler dress. And it was difficult to move your arms. The length was all wrong on me, hitting at the mid-knee which made it look frumpy. (I’m 5’10” for the record). I wanted to love this dress, and I’m disappointed that I didn’t. Hoping the collection works out its weird kinks around sizing and fit as we get into more releases.

Slight fit issue, but beautiful!
The quality of this dress is just gorgeous. I ordered two sizes, my usual 8 and a 10 just in case the brand ran small. While most of the dresses I've tried on from GMG fit pretty true to size, I found this one to be a bit tight on top in a size 8 (I'm a 36C) but not uncomfortably so. I also have very thin arms and found the sleeves to be constricting in the 8. On the other hand... the 8 fits better at the waist, so I can't decide which one to keep! I would say if you're between two sizes or have a larger chest, you might consider sizing up.

Not true to size.
The dress is pretty, but it runs tight in the waist and arms.
